just for the simple fact that he is a senior member of the citizen of nepal, i still have respect for the octogenarian. i can only give plaudits to him for successfully leading the first ever cabinet right after 1990 revolution whose prime objectives were to give constitution and a fair election thereafter to nepal and nepalese, in which, barring the fact that the constitution was not written in the most democratic way, his cabinet did come out with flying colors in the assigned task. beyond that, i don't have much choice than to blame these stalwarts with the likes of himself, girija and other senior leaders of nepali congress, who never gave any chance whatsoever to allow the oldest democratic party of nepal to stand on their own without the wheelchair support from monarchy. bhattarai's irresponsible, immature and incompetent comments in the past have not surprised me and probably will never. this is just one of those instances. thapap, i respect your opinion and i understand your frustration, but don't just analyze stuffs from the surface...c'mon now, you can do it better. just because you were SHOWN 'peaceful nepal' through the veil we know by the name of panchayat, you cannot say it's the best system we ever had. what we went through for the last 250 years and what came up post 1996, have a 'cause-effect' relationship...try to see that. i don't say maoists revolution came up in the right way, but i have every reason to believe that it was inevitable.
