dapu, You can't just hold the PR of canada and stay outside forever. You must reside at least 2 out of first 5 years in Canada to keep the PR status. For the citizenship, it will take about 4 years (including the residency + citizenship application process) to get the citizenship. Once you have the Canadian citizenship, you can work in the US without a problem.
