For those who are in London and are interested in Mid-East/ Mid East Peace Process/ Road Map and all that. ---- The Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy at SOAS, London, is holding a conference on 17-18 September 2007 exploring the issue of Weapons of Mass Destruction in the Middle East and the UN-endorsed objective of making the region a zone free of WMD. States represented will include Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, while Pakistan and South Africa will also present their views. Both the EU and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office will send a spokesperson, as well as German SDP Parliamentary spokesman on foreign affairs Gert Weisskirchen. See the programme here. In the week of the conference, the eyes and ears of the world will be focused on the issue of WMD in the Middle East as the IAEA examines the Iran issue and holds it annual meetings.
