East Texas Artist Gains Attention For Works Of Art In Home Tuesday, December 26 2006 @ 01:03 AM CST Contributed by: Admin Views: 41 An aspiring artist is attracting a lot of attention to his unique paintings and portraits. His apartment is one big work of art, but for 26 year old Nepal native Anup Bhandari, it's his way of life. "It like comes from inside and I turn it into canvas" says Anup. A graduate of Kilgore College, his life is art, he lives to make canvas come alive. "When I com home from work I get bored and the paintings make me happy" he says. And his work is being recognized art circles in Kilgore and Longview. But there's an ultimate goal to his art. Part of everything he makes goes to his native Nepal to help children get an education. "I want to go back to Nepal, I want to go there and inspire other people" he says. The abstract shows emotion... Some with messages of the human struggle to overcome... Some with messages of the American struggle. The portraits show the faces of his countrymen. He hopes his art will one day adorn homes all over East Texas, and beyond. Bhandari plans to attend U-T Tyler next year on a scholarship to achieve a bachelors degree in art. http://www.kltv.com
