GALT: AN EPICURE'S ELEGY

I have had a reputation of not replying back to my fellow repliers in the past considering the fact that my posts are not even worth replying. However, it should be understood that I have always savored your heartfelt replies. I write irritably, and my contents hover over the similar subject matter time and again. Most of the times I write in the state of illogicality which dear readers like you surprisingly find amusing. I am not a writer, just a poor narrator who had been eulogized past his recounting skills in the retrospect. John Galt’s baloneys are still replied back when better writers like svengali go unnoticed. I find it really astounding. The reason I write in sajha is beyond my own understanding, and I reiterate, it perhaps is one better example of my eccentricity. In the past, the reason I replied to my fellow visitors was not only to express gratitude, but to keep my thread alive for more exposure. As svengali once said, it is nothing but a shameless promotional redux. I owe my recent post to sum_off and perverted mind, who were concerned about my sudden disappearance. An occasional email therefore weighed heavier on the scale of contentment than repeated emails and redundant calls from few friends who often disappear in thin air. “Freedom is another word for nothing left to lose” – Janis Joplin. You are free when you only prefer to visit sajha, posting seems to be like being embedded in a quagmire at times. Perhaps this is a too much of a poignant statement, but avid sajha visitors know it better. The replies after the ramble: Amber, Finally it is! Been a while your voiced had not resonated from Urals, thank you for your eagerness in posting. Did you read it all? And tell me the truth for the love of god, did you actually like it? ALSON, Though we have not replied each other in the past, I have come across you in some other postings I fail to recall at the moment. I am glad you enjoyed it. Somphee, Thanks for your kind words, but look, it was certainly not worth a wait. Actually there wasn’t a wait at the first place. Sum_off writes incredibly, Sitara is back and so is Amber, and then there are good repliers like haddock, samsara, poonte and ashu who keep the vibe rolling. Nepalonmymind, Sadly, all my stories are in the lower level of mediocrity, the one that only comprise ordinary issues like गाँस, बास and कपास. Sometimes I deviate from the norm, but that is only ‘sometimes’. Come to think about it, even though basmati chaamal is a famished’ delight, would it be as much appetizing if served alone? Samsara, My dear fellow West-Bengalite, you made an epic out of this average story. I laud your ability to participate in sajha more than perhaps San himself does, if being an admin is considered participating that is. The reason I am thrilled with your persistent partake is not only mere presence, but you contribution of well-analyzed replies, the way you reach the crux of every story, the way you magnify them, scrutinize them and provide more insight. I have witnessed over sometime that you not only read all the lines, but read between them too. It takes noteworthy amount of spirit to be enrolled in such a fashion. I salute you. Stories of famine are imminent when you have lived in a boarding school half your school-life. I remember the night long starvations more than my first ever kiss. I am glad it brought back both our memories. After this incident, I was obliged to visit Coney island during my last trip just to eat a dog at Nathan’s. Must say - .not my kinda dog. Talking about dogs, I have turned around umpteen times to observe the svelte, sultry and seductive females who have an equally sophisticated canines in the passenger seat. Could never fathom the chemistry between the beauty and the beast. Flippy, my dear Bama girl, I cannot even read a single reader’s mind, let alone the entire clout. On the contrary, they read my mind more effectively than myself when they read my stories. Khusi, I am very खुशनसीब that you altruistically chose to read over those grueling two pages of absolute drivel. Sitara, Reply from a technically refined writer like you means a whole world to me. However, I always wondered what my ordinary narrations actually meant to you? You do not have to reply to make me happy, I’d be more than happy just to be in your thoughts. (Swear that statement was merely platonic) Natyavaruval, I must say I am pleased with your reply although I was lost somewhere in between trying to decipher your pseudonym. Even googled it with no avail, pardon my ignorance. As long as hot dogs and pizzas are concerned, you were right on that. However, few decades might change it all; the increasing number of south asian immigrants would influence kobayashi to try his hands on idli or dumplings. Angleyes, Myopic me!!! From a distance, I accidentally read it as खलास, and was taken aback for a second. My family is doing fine; they were asking me if you could provide some more of those leggy pictures. LOL! Camoflagged, Never knew you were married, I always visualized you as a good looking stag who’d occasionally bring a damsel home. Kidding! But seriously, I always thought you were single. I need to keep up with your Café no. 14 updates to know more about you. Thanks for visiting as always. Sdny, The “appetite for destruction” lasted as long as Guns and Roses had their heydays. However, despite aging, I still can, if someone offers me कोबी(काउली) and खसी. Thapap, Surgical genius you!!! Dissected my story beyond sutures. Kudos for perusing with a microscope, not everyone has time to read between lines. Yes, my family lives only few minutes away from the bridge. On the other hand, the bandel achar was soon depleted as I laid my hands on it. Shall tell you next time if availed, but it’s gonna be a long time I presume, all poachers have relocated after the downpour in terai. The time span was meant to be from someville Massachussets right near the border of Mass and CT. New Rochelle was his home, not his work. Further, who even bothers about the speed limit while driving at Meritt? On the contrary they speed more intensely than I-95 as soon as they discover there aren’t any shoulders where cops lurk. Riten, Hello after a long time. Kobayashi is a muscular Japanese guy who had repeatedly broken records for few years by consuming highest number of hotdogs in a certain amount of time. I used him as an illustration to compare my glutton-self. Google him up. As far as ignorance goes, why on earth would you want to know who Kobayashi is?
