If my intuition serves me right then Kobayashi must've surely been educated in an all boys' boarding school…Only they have such an appetite and eat with so much vigor and speed. Hahahah The meals at school back then were basically straight outta Darwin's survival of the fittest (for the extra helping of rice and gravy). The faster you ate or swallowed without chewing, the more of the finer/tastier items you could eat (man, can't believe that food was rationed that way especially since we were growing kids then). And yeah, people DID inhale the food! j/k What a story! The Galt mystique lives on! The hunger thing was straight out of my undergrad days and my first couple of years at the job. Was fresh outta school where us, new trainees all wanted to be in Gordan Gecko's league someday. When it hit noon, we put on our game faces saying "lunch is for wimps." But once I was outta the office for the day, things were different…Had to chow down on the roadside sheesh kababs before I'd collapse famished. Every day, it was the same until I wisened up and started the day with a HUGE breakfast (really huge that my tummy projected right outta my shirt…was embarassing to get on the subway). Before I undertook that step, breakfast never existed in my vocab. However, the good thing was I managed to retain my dignity just when I was gonna succumb to the dark forces. Hahaha The good ol'days! And Nathan...BTW, ever since 2001 have been seeing Kobayashi at Nathan's on the evening news on July 4th. Too bad this year though. I think his days are done...This guy, "Jaws" seems to be beaking his record left and right. Finally, the part which goes: “Sonofab@#$h” a driver behind me screamed, screeched and honked at the same time as I shoved my little car in between him and the one before." Damn, this is what I do everyday at guys who slyly overtake me without blinking their signal lights...BTW, ever turn back to see if a guy with a hot chick by his side was right behind you then?
