Shirish: Even the Noble Prize Committee gives away so many Noble prizes Yes, they do. But, not everyone returns home with prize. What is ratio of prize winners vs memberships or contributers? That was my question. As I wrote above, how many readers will remember or read these all names? If a prize does not make a real news, than what is worth of award? Award = recognition. When public has hard time recognizing the prize winner, what is that worth for? Soooooooooooo many prize in such a small community. I am not criticizing a writer, but such a large number of prizes make these writer's contribution not that valuable. It looks everyone is getting prize, and there will be no member left out in future. Lets not forget that "outstanding" should mean outstanding a few percentage out of the mass. The length of the prize winners list clearly shows that the prizes are not really outstanding. That is my understanding. You have a full right to dismiss my arguements.
