I went to the link and clicked, and I find no contact person. Should not you mention at least a name of a real contact person? That is very interesting to me. Well, I know who belongs to the domain name because you can find it by checking the whois look up, but I want the website to declare a contact person's name and contact address. Anyway good luck to you for success. Personally, I would have appreciated if you have made this website public upon consultation with a group of people. The website does not mention anything like that. I wonder how far you will reach to turn your society / association into a real workable one. It is because there is another association already under discussion. What are your credentials so that I can decide join your organization? What makes you unique to sell your association? to its possible members? I have already asked some questions in another thread, you may want to see it and answer these questions to make me or like me feel comfortable with your organization? Why should I join your proposed association? What can I do extra, that I could not do without your organization? If you have reliable and convincing answer to this question, I am sure your organization will get success. These answers will be OK, but what resources will you have to run this organization? Membership? Are you sure the membership fee will be enough? Nope. Advertisement? Who will sponsor advertizing banner to you in this competitive market? Nepal Engineers Association with 6 thousand or more members failed to have sustainable website, and it is dead now. Therefore, it is easier to initiate a new organization, but it is very hard to keep running. Are you prepared for that? What is the total number of nepali engineers in USA, and out of that how many will really be interested in joining your organization? I think if it is just a discussion forum like Sajha.com, it might be a good idea, but turning it to a real world organization is not an easy job in this busy world. An example of a great discussion forum that is without any exe.com member, but working well is http://www.GeoForum.com/ . You know what, this website is working because its pioneers are 4 world's former great professors in Geotech. They are very knowlegable professionals, and their credentials are excellent. Another good one that is running here in US with Nepali topics is the one run by Dr. Alok Bohara of New Mexico University: Nepal Democratice ..... Because of his dedicated Nepali students and his personal links (he made in his 20 years of teaching), he was able to make it a sustainable forum. So, your credential also matters. Your website does not show a single real person's name, and without it, no one top rated professionals would like to join. These are my suggestions. Don't take it negatively. Consider answering these questions for your own sake, and you don't have to answer here, but think how will answer these questions. For me ASCE is enough. I am a full member, and I have to pay 225+- USD, and I am a member NEA, NGS, IGS, ISSMGE, .....'s member. I already spend more than 300 USD in membership, and why should I pay membership to any other society?
