“But I don’t live to count the number of times my breathing is interrupted by my hiccups. I live because I can breathe.” i concur with dipesh here ! although i wouldn't let a married woman cheat her husband for me. :P. i see nirmal to be more stringent with his principles (of right/wrong) than dipesh. it could well be his inferiority complex that nirmal could not stand the vibrancy of the youth. from their conversations, it seemed like dipesh could gel well with all generations and young crowd especially as he seemed to have this teen vibe in him even at his age. perhaps his good looks helped. and perhaps that did pratibha. :P. but that's just my opinion. :D “Morality has always remained constant; fear is the variable that dictates our actions. I agree our fear has subsided to some degree. Morality weighs in when there is a conflict between ‘what feels right’ versus ‘what feels good.’ In the absence of fear, we choose what feels good. That’s what Pratibha Dhungana did. She chose what felt good.” i liked these punch lines from the story. perhaps, morality can also exist solely in 'what feels good' coz what suman did, may not be right, but it did make him feel good. was he apprehensive about the consequence if in case he told the truth to nirmal? yes. but one cannot say he was morally wrong in whole in hiding the truth. mind-boggling! this is easily one of the best i have read from you. :D
