Tanahu is probably the most educated district in Western Nepal, west of Kathmandu among Pahad Districts. Certainly, Chitwan is the most educated state in whole western part of Nepal (west of Kathmandu). Tanahu probably has the greatest native mass of ex-Gurkha men served in British army, and they are probably the most talented people with the ex-Gurkha community. Tanahu is probably the best example of western district where diverse population live in harmony: from Newar, Bahun, chhetri, Gurung, Darai, Chepang, Magar, Majhi, ................ In Tanahu, no one dominates, every one was free to speak his state of mind, because of education, and all these things ceased after the arrival of YCL and Maoists. Yes, GRJ was corrupt, but Mr. Maoists have looted more than GRJ has looted as Home Minister, Water Resource Minister, and Education Ministers. Tanahu is my best place on earth after my hometown.
