If your mom says that she is going to america to take care of her daughter and her infant I am pretty sure that her visa will be denied right away because the visa office will think that your mom is trying to deprive other US citizens from their jobs. To be more clear, if your mom takes care of you and your infant then that means your mom is taking over the day-care responsibilities and some US citizen who were entitled to do that job and make money out of it, is being pushed aside. The best solution would be, to tell your student office that you are emotionally depressed and shocked because of the culture conflict and that you want somebody from your family to come over to us to give you support and company for few days/months.
