Cupidpuffy, was a silent spectator to the whole auditing process that was being conducted here since last week. However, its a pity that you fellas couldn't rent the bar...Too much work it seems just for a $500 something donation. Imagine if you didn't have the sponsors and relied solely on ticket sales, the donation from the party would've been only $25!! I don't know much about Boston but in NYC we rely more on the bar sales than the total ticket revenue...Until last year, I'd organized quite a few Nep parties here and even with only a 150-200 people attending the event sometimes, ended up NETTING above $3000 (even though the hall rent here costs $2000 at the least). Maybe the Boston organizers should look into getting a place where they could sell alcohol the next time around. People tend to part easliy with their money when drunk, so, let the vodkas flow like water. We all know its all for a good cause...like in your case (Not mine though).
