7 ton illegal red sandalwood seized from capital: Kantipur Report KATHMANDU, June 10 - The police seized a truck (Na 2 Kh 1116) full of red sandalwood that was "parked suspiciously" in Swayambu Saturday night. According to Swayanbu police, the truck contained seven ton of illegal red sandalwood. The police arrested Kumar Lama, the owner of the truck, who transports goods to Khasa. Lama has confessed that he was transporting the sandalwood for a Chinese businessman. The police informed that it had seized the truck while it was parked "suspiciously" in Swayambu at 9:45 last night.
