I think there is a point there to be made about assimilation. It is an issue on the minds of many immigrants: how far can you or do you assimilate? It is a situation we find ourselves in throughout life - and not just on immigration matters : when do you try to fit in and when do you try to stand out? But as far as assimilation and ANA or GBNC or any of the ethnic organizations go, it boils down to knowing where to go for what: you don't go to a Chinese restaurant to eat Indian food I suppose no more than you would to a Nepalese organization to assimilate into American society Just a thought. I'll stop there before this becomes a discussion about assimilation. :)
