The US has 9 Nimitz class CVNs with a 10th on the way. They displace around 97,000 tons each. The only Chinese carrier in existance displaces less than 40,000k and is only the shell of a old Soviet carrier (with all electronics and power plant removed) purchased from a cash-strapped Unkraine. They have a handfull of subs, none as advanced as our oldest sub surface vessel. They only way they'll have a larger navy is if they count row boats and canoes.
