The police on Wednesday took three Indian police personnel under custody from Kartiya of Sorbhara VDC in Morang for entering Nepal without a prior permission and trying to arrest a civilian.
The police held Sub Inspector Om Singh, constable Raj Bir Singh and policeman Subash of Delhi's Noida Police precinct, India.

The Indian policeman have claimed that there were here to investigate a complaint filed by one in India against a Nepali – Santosh Malakar of Sorbhara-3 – who fled with the daughter of the complainant from Delhi three months ago.

According to local Buddhi Paswan, the team leader Sub Inspector Singh had arrived in Nepal in uniform and was carrying his service pistol.

Morang SP Gopal Bhandary said that the trio was taken into custody for breaching the international laws that prohibit anyone from entering a foreign land with arms. Bhandary said the trio would be handed over to the concerned Indian authorities.
