30 REASONS TO GO VEGETARIAN

First of all, I'd like to confess that I didn't enter this thread to convince anyone to change and be vegetarians, but it's about being conscious of own actions. We say blah blah blah and avoid looking at these videos and posts because we know that we don't have guts even to watch that; let it leave about changing eating habits. I had watched one documentary in Nepal where the kids with their parents were shown at departmental stores purchasing meats. At that time, I had never entered any departmental stores and seen packages products like that. So the point there was that since the kids always use only processed or packed products, they never know that it even come from killing animals. Changing Veg or Non-Veg is own decision but at least we should be aware and be conscious of what is going on. Regarding ecology and blah blah again, I read somewhere that it takes about "16 pounds of grain are spent in this over-fed part of the world to produce 1 pound of beef where as people are dieing from starvation of deprivation of same grains". The only way that the earth can manage this ever increasing population is us being at the bottom of food chains. I guess that everyone of us should be familiar about energy pyramids and food-chains at least. So we know that the quantity being available in these chains and pyramids. People are talking about processing corn-oil for fuel, buy why some of people are also opposing it. Because they're afraid the same corn which is used to feed across other parts of the world will be snatched for feeding fuel this country. This is one of many other concerns. Those of you who're bashing and ridiculing poor animals saying that they're meant to be eaten. What would you say about all these poor nepalese being used as guiney-pigs for testing new pharmaceutical products in Nepal? Probably, this is also normal because we're poor back in our country, and rich and powerful can do anything, isn't it? Well, I'm not even lobbying for 'vegetarianism' but only to change the way they're being treated in these slaughter houses and the way they're being killed. Some argued that is the only way to get cheap meat. Then, why do people here care about the source of products. Not all, but some has really changed it, and I've read these stories. Few examples are of 'child labor'. Despite the products being cheap coming from these 'child labor', they've refused to use these products and forced factories not to employ childrens. The other example is advocacy groups being able to convince consumers to change their habits and that had forced industries to change their patterns of wrong-doings.
