"What's The Best Way To Be Unaffected By Other's
Moods?
Everyone is living out their process of personal
development, each according to their own evolutionary pace. No matter how
it appears at times, everyone is doing the very best they can, even if
sometimes that doesn't look so great when on the receiving end of
rudeness or worse.
A major key to enlightenment (and thereby stress reduction) in terms of
dealing with other people is to train yourself to desist from taking
their actions personally, even when directed at your person - this
applies to their kindnesses towards you as well as their spite or neglect.
Whatever others do is their business.
Your business is what you do with the information arising from their
actions, or indeed their moods. You are responsible only for what goes on
inside you, not what goes on inside them and their resulting actions.
Choose to maintain self-esteem and self-respect regardless of the
opinions, moods or actions of those you encounter. Be clear you're not
responsible for their choices. You are not here to make others happy. You
are not here to make others unhappy. You are here to live out your
process and they are here to live out theirs. When these two dovetail in a
harmonious way it's a bonus, when they don't, they don't and that's all
there is to it.
It finally comes down to what you intend. Intend a positive outcome
from every situation for all concerned and that's eventually what will
come to pass, regardless of communicational hiccups along the way. But
above all stay centred and in touch with your own natural self beneath the
social veneers, for in that relationship will your sustenance be
found."
