Good Morning Haddock (or rather Good Afternoon for me since I monitor the European Markets). All I remeber of Biratnagar's planning was the 4 lane roads that were being constructed back then. This really put all of us in awe as such roads were uncommon even in Ktm (and we were coming from Darjeeling: the place with the narrowest streets!!) And also, the various signboards put around town that read as Biratnagar being the Industrial Capital of Nepal. I guess that dream's all over now, thanks to internal conflict and mainly bad socio-political-economic insight by the planners.
