beltran, i thought u knew what u were talking about.... again, i gotta explain everything... why dont u look up wikipedia or something... the reason they bought out houston, jalen rose, etc... is because their salary will not count towards the luxury tax... so basically their salary is irrelevant since it does not count against the salary cap... minnesota knows that it will not get a fair return when they trade kg... and they pretty much know that he doe snot want to stay there... so, they have to chose the lesser of the two evils and get something in return... and for that to happen salaries have to match... kind of like what the lakers did with shaq... its a no win situation... so the knicks are probably the best option... instead of letting kg walk, might as well get some young, up and coming talent in return... so for the knicks, they will not be affected by kg's salary... coz basically they will pay him for example 28 million instead of paying curry and crawford 14 each... (the numbers are nt exact, just examples)
