Sum_off, Your story, as usual, made me clearly visualize all the described events as if I am practically present there. Your words have a magic which depict the situation to be more real than even the real one! This is definitely one of the best of your stories which delineates the uneasy and discriminating relationship between a typical middle-class Kathmandu family and a lower-class out of valley family. >>“If she takes these chilies from my hand, mami thinks she and I will somehow end up quarrelling. Nachaahine, fantus kuraa ke.” Sameer explained to his niece playfully.<< Hehe! there are so many things like this which reminds me of my own home, yes we surely are living in a pool of superstitions, aren't we?
