Let’s Honor UDIT NARAYAN

Udit has been my favourite since my childhood days. Raffi's voice has been copied (Sonu Nigam), Kishore Kumar voice has been imitated number of times (Kumar Sanu gives a nosy version) and Mukesh voice is rendered by his own son (Nitin Mukesh). Balasubramanyam's voice is unique but lots of southern singers have similar voice now (even Yesudas), Abhijeet's voice is melodious but I feel like he is a combination of the top three singers I mentioned in the second line above. I think Udit is the only unique voice, whose style and voice hasn't been copied by anybody. He gave the true life to Pehla Nasha, as samsara mentioned. I still remember his old hit, "Sun Jane Jaa, Kehta hai kya, Yeh Bahaar ka sama." and "Balla balla Bhet bhako dina." I have an immense respect for this man (there are certain numbers that he over does sometimes) as a singer. But as a Nepali? I cannot comment. I don't know if the rumor that he wants to be called Indian than Nepali is true or not. If it is true, then he loses my respect as a Nepali, no matter what justifications you have, you cannot be ever ashamed of your own country.
