"Udit talked to me on phone and complained about pain in his chest and sought 15 days to come before the Com-mission. I accepted his prayer with (complainant) Ranjana’s consent and gave him 10 days’ time," Commission chairperson Manju Prakash told reporters. Asked from where Narayan had called her, Prakash said his lawyer Mahasweta Chatterjee arranged the conversation over mobile phone. Hence, she did not know the origin of the call. During last date of hearing on June nine, the Commission had given the "fourth and last chance" to Narayan to appear before it on June 16, and threatened that a warrant would be issued against him if he failed to do so. Ranjana Narayan had created a flutter last month by claiming to be the singer's first wife, a charge that has been denied by Narayan.
