JTMM kills one in Bara, attacks police post in Rautahat Cadres of the Janatantrrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM) - Goit faction - have abducted and killed a District Education Office official in Bara Tuesday morning. Reports said cadres abducted acting chief of the Educational Training Centre Basu Dev Poudel, dragged him a distance of 600 m and shot him. Poudel died on spot. He was shot on the head and chest. District president of the rebel group Birat had earlier confirmed the abduction of Poudel. Poudel was a permanent resident of Kaski. In another accident, cadres of the JTMM - Jwala Singh faction - fired at Assistant Sub Inspector Purna Bahadur Dhami in Rautahat early this morning. Around four dozen armed members of the JTMM Jwala Singh attacked the police post at Chet Nagar. Dhami got hit with a bullet on his thigh and is under treatment at the Narayani Sub Regional hospital in Birgunj. Police seized some arms and bullets from the attackers.
