I tried hard to connect your point with the statement I copied in my previous post. Didn't get any clue. :-) Initially, I thought they measured the volume first and the statement I copied in my previous post made no sense to me. This morning, I read the statement again and I realised that they found the mass first (The new planet is about five times heavier than Earth) and their theory, so far, proposes the planet is made up of rock. The density of rock is higher than that of ice ball, hence the volume will be lesser than if it was made up of iceball. I hope I answered my question. Phewwww!! I am poor in science.
