We should be the last one commenting on any countries wishes to be democratic. We are the most screwed up country right now. At least Bhutan has peace and innocent people are not dying. Nepal will be put down in history as the country where the people shed blood to give the country from one Dictator to another. We will be put down in history as the country that took the country from a person who killed hundreds and gave it to a person who is responsible for the death of 20,000 or more Nepalese. In any other country these people would be tried in the court of law but only in Nepal we acclaim him as if he brought us greatness. We will be put down in history as the only country that had a backward progress in the 21st century. We had so much potential, a spill-over effect from the Indian and Chinese economy would have been enough for Nepal to flourish only if we had a stable economy and government. So before we point our fingers on any country how screwed up they are because they believe in something, think about how screwed up we are. We openly practice casteism, racism, sexism in our country; we look down upon the poor and the weak in such derogatory manner as though they don’t have rights. Even animals in most countries are treated better. It’s sad that we still don’t realize how screwed up we are and it could get worse but at the first opportunity make a mockery out of another country who are in a much better state than us. Bhutan has full right to be cautious especially after seeing what happened in Nepal. They have seen how a few screwed up people for personal benefits could screw up the whole country for generations.
