Personally, I liked the movie. I usually don't like adaptations of books I have read. This was an exception. I read the book right around when it came out - about 2-3 years ago I think - and I could have sworn there was more about Boston/New England in the book than in the movie which appeared to be based mainly in New York.(not that that's a big deal in any way ) It is not that easy to adapt a book into cinema and I thought Nair did a good job with the adaptation overall.
