Saket suffering from Hodgkins Lymphoma seeking help Kantipur Report KATHMANDU, April 23 - Saket Ghimire—who has been affected by “Hodgkins Lymphoma”, a cancerous growth of cells in the lymph system— is currently undergoing treatment at Om Hospital, Kathmandu, is in need of financial assistance. However, 19-year-old Saket, a 12th grader of Kasturi Higher Secondary School, Sunsari, has been facing financial problems for his treatment. “Since chemotherapy is very expensive, we are looking for people who can offer some financial help,” Saket’s mother Narmada Ghimire said. “The treatment is effective and doctors have said that if it is continued Saket might be totally cured,” Narmada further adds. They have already spent Rs 400,000 on the treatment. Dr Sudip Shrestha, the doctor treating Saket has recommended12 rounds of chemotherapy for him. Dr Shrestha has requested all to help Saket, “as the financial cost of the treatment is beyond the family’s means.” The troubled Narmada says that she is ready to do anything to save her son. Those who want to help Saket can deposit the amount they would like to contribute to account no. 0001331, Everest Bank Ltd, Kathmandu, Nepal. Even a small contribution counts. We Nepalese donate to all other people. I have seen people helping even their own people. Lets help this boy who is just in 12th grade. Its a great pain to live under such disease without being treated. It can be treated but financial problem is the major factor. A little amount of money can help someone live. If we help him and he is cured, he might even not know us, but the joy of contributing someone and helping them live is like being in heaven. I got this news from kantipuronline.com http://www.kantipuronline.com/kolnews.php?&nid=107547 In todays world it is rare to find people who help eachothers, lets help him and show that even today people like us exist. Thank you.
