Honda ki Toyota

Both good and great cars. I wanted to get a honda but they put me in a 3 month long waiting list. Then I changed my mind to get a toyota. I am fully satisfied so far with my toyota, have put 5000 miles on it. I spent some time to research Honda vs Toyota, that tells the following. Honda has a bit noisy engine and the vehicle vibrates more in highways compared to Toyota. Lightweight hondas (the economy models like civic, fit ) have more stability problem particularly while driving in windy and inclement weathers. Honda has better mileage, cheaper price and slightly more durable transmission than toyota. Toyota runs smoother and good pickup, torque etc. so its easier to control while you drive (this is what you get at the cost of low mileage). Also, toyota needs shorter warming up time and performs better if you ride in the roads that has a lot of stop and go. Toyota can't compete with Honda for durability if you compare until the end of your car's life. Most Honda run up to 280K with the factory-built transmission (if you maintain it properly) but Toyota can go only up to 230-240K at their best. Both of them are far better than most american cars which needs repair or replace of transmission after 100K. The metal sheet and paint of toyota is of better quality than honda. Honda builds rust faster than Toyota. Interior of Honda is more fancy than Toyota. Although Honda has cheaper price tags, they might turn to be expensive than toyota in the end because most honda dealers charge some extra fee which is waived for toyota because the manufacturer pays that fee to the dealers. Choice is yours, no specific recommendation to select honda or toyota.
