This reminds me of an incident. I think I was in the 4th standard and we had this really stern english lady for our english teacher. So she made each one of us read small passages out loud in the first week of school. The one I had to read had the word "southern" and I pronounced it as "south-ern" and she goes .. its "sutthen" not southern. i laughed my brains out and did as she said. After she left the whole class burst into laughter and thought she was crazy for the longest time! hehe
