Miller shows that the common example, bacterial flagellum, is not in fact irreducibly complex. If it were irreducibly complex, then removing parts should make them useless. However, this is not the case. The parts have functions of their own!" The pseudoscience of "Intelligent Design" is motivated by religion and propagated by Evangelical Christians in USA.
