Where's the weird part? Every hospital in the US that has a maternity ward, also has something similar to that drop box. When a baby is dropped into the box, until the baby is certain months, no questions are asked. I don't know the procedures after the baby reaches a certain age. I work in the healthcare field and heard of it. Its much better than leaving babies are parks.
