Only 6.4 inches of snow has fallen at Logan Airport this winter, far below the season average of 41.8 inches. But storms that drop several inches of snow on Boston in March are not unusual. The worst on record was March 19, 1965, when 13.2 inches fell on the area. More recently a storm dumped 6-and-a-half inches on the city on March 16, 2004."
