Riten - Ideologically I am exactly where you seem to be - I am all for a republic. However, as you can attest to I am sure, politics is the art of the impossible and I think the abdication card is still on the table and not yet played by the King. He is known to compromise only when against the wall, and I wonder if that's what PM Koirala and others are trying to push him towards. Just a thought.
