Tried that few months ago. Concerns were raised to the university server by its ISP. There are a lot of legal problems that TOR doesnt protect against. Although, it is not deemed to to be illegal, I am not sure of it. The accountablity of using TOR is confusing. You can see its legal issue page. Furthermore, TOR doesnt work when it comes to all IE. I tried that too. It doesn't protect against the methods the bots and crawlers use (the main culprits of security issues) when we use application plugins for Java, Flash, Active X, RealPlayer, Quicktime, Adobe's PDFs, etc. These can be easily manipulated to track your identity.
