A brilliant potrayal of the truth. A woman can make a house, a home. She can turn down a house as well. Instead of finding who is the culprit here, let's analyze who could salvage the situation here. The daughter-in-law could have clearly mended the breaking house, the mother could have been a little accompanying. The males, specially the son, could have taken the matter in their hands and afixated to fixing than breaking. Now if you want to play the blame game, I'd rather side with the parents here. I am not saying the daughter-in-law had to endure all the "tortures," but they don't seem as extreme to break a house and leave the old parents, who deserved a lot more respect, on their own device. Sure, poverty is to blame here; but more than anything understanding or lack thereof is to blame.
