Kalimati, If you are in US from last 5 years. Then you are considered as resident for tax purposes. you are eligible to file 1040EZ. Don't file 1040NR(non resident) because your refund will be less. Plus if you are in H1 for more than 183. U can file regular 1040( A or EZ). You can look at the publication at IRS site regarding all the information. I did look at both form last year and got $1000 more by filing 1040EZ instead of 1040NR. Also you will get more form state tax too because you have to enter amount computed at Federal form.
