Well, it's an epidemic but unrecognized problem among Nepalese.Please, don't take it as an offense but a large population of Nepal is child molester.I'll give reasons on my points. By definition, a child molester is some one who make indecent sexual advances to a minor. Be honest, how many of you have been the victims of sexual abuse in your childhood? I think almost all Nepalese girls have experienced it from their teachers or relatives or strangers. How many of you girls have experienced some one trying to touch your private parts especially while walking thru New Road/ Ason or at temples? How many of you girls have felt that your teacher had touch your back making you uncomfortable. But , you know it's not only the girls problems. Boys are also the victims. I remembered when I used to go to Balaju swimming pool in my childhood. There used to be always some adults in the shallow area , who in the name of teaching swimming , always tried to touch the genitals. Well, I was curious and enjoyed it because I was in it in my puberty and I had no conscience. But now I realised that I had been victimized. Think about your childhood life and try to focus on incidents where somebody had tried to make sexual advances on you. I'm sure everybody will have their own story. Why? I'm not an anthropologist but I think it's time for strong advocacy against those predators in our society. Look, in this case too, this guy clearly knows he is doing something illegal but he seems to think that he is not doing wrong. His first defence was that it's not him but the girl who proposed. He knew she is only 13 and she is minor. Minor do not have full development of conscience and that's why it's illegal and wrong. I think we really need to kick out those Dipak Bista haru from the society.
