i still feel, maoists are the ones capable of creating a conducuve environment for today's nepal. the reason why i still support maoists: 1) new nepal is yet to be born. it needs a lots of discipline, hard-work, patience (time) for loktantra to get established. it's not gonna happen overnight. how many average nepali know this? 2) an average (typical) nepali, i am afraid, does not have all that. we can figure out from this thread itself. if we, educated and sane-minded thinkers, can well get succumbed to desperation by incidents (looting, extortion, 1/2 unfair political appointment and so on), let's think how an average nepali mind is gonna take it? people are people, their mentality is not gonna change overnight. we still have TU graduates who get involved in burning tyres and detroying goverment and private properties for every small or big reason of protests. 3) it may sound ridiculous to many loktantrabaadi bidwan over here, but i honestly feel, what we need is a democratic environment which is controlled to some extent and that does NOT allow people to act insane and let them set free for whatever stupid act they commit. 4) making a compulsive provision for youth for army training is a good idea. it will at least make sure that our youth do not waste their time boozing, womenizing, and fooling around in streets whistling to school girls. on the same note, i also think, vocational trainings in various areas should be made a compulsion for people depending upon their aptitude and interest. this will make sure their mind is occupied in doing something useful for themselves and the nation. 5) a complete loktantra at this stage will be like "bandar ko hatma nariwal'. we all know the politicians and average nepali mentality. LooTe
