The Madhes movement and reality

Sadly, the current Madhes movement has proven to be a political campaign by some anti-nationalistic and pro-Indian elements to come to the power. Statements and reasons: 1) In the past we did have (may be less MPs/Madhesi citizen) several MPs and ministers from Madhes origin. 2) No one can prove that those MPs were any better towards general Madhesi than MPs from Pahad or from Himal in the development of terai region (exception : their own election constituency). 3) If you can extrapolate this idea - in theory you can extend the number of MPs, Ministers or PMs but there will not be any significant improvement in the living standard of the poor people - which is the main problem right now. Instead, one cannot deny the fact that we may end up having more number of Bijaya Kumar Gachhedars.... 4) Further more - the movement just stopped when the government announced to give some more MPs to those regions - just tell me who directly benifits from that - will that help the thousands of poor Madhesis? do I have to give any answer? And what is the reasoning behind demanding resignation of home minister as the precondition? Why could they ask something that directly benifit poor people of Madhes? Sometime I also heard about them asking - home ministry post and DPM post for Madhesi person. Its absolutely rediculous. I dont know how that will benifit the poor people from Madhes. 5) Do they think that - Madhesi ministers are just for Madhes and Pahade MPs are for Pahad? Otherwise the ida of large number of Madhesi MPs without quality doesnot make sense. 6) When the world is accelerating towards globilization, and racism-free community why does nepal need this segregation and allocation of seats and quotas based on racism which just adds more oil to burning fire and enhance the life of this element? 7) In my understanding - there are several issues in Nepal that extends all parts of nepal and do not carry any tag of Madhes or Himal. Current Madhes andolan leaders have badly failed to take a nationalistic approach. Why couldnt they have said - lets eliminate poverty, the racial and gender related iniqualities from all parts of Nepal. By creating more boundaries within the existing racial and caste related boundries in nepal, they have exacerbated this racism issue. In my opinion, until and unless you take unified and nationalistic approach, you can never imagine to lead a country (with so much diversity).
