After all, however one defines democracy, its fundamental tenet is freedom of speech, a right to have a voice .. . even when disagreeable opinions spill forth from someone's exercising that right to have a voice. A society that cannot tolerate different, idiosyncratic, disagreeable, weird, offbeat, radical thinking individuals amidst its members is NOT a democratic society . . . no matter how loudly it proclaims to be one.
