I guess GC processing ( employer based) goes through follwoing phases: 1. Labor certification 2. I-140 3. I-485 Labor certifcation used to take maximum time ( 1.5 years in my case). Now with PERM what is the state, I do not know. In my case I-140 and I-1485 was adjusted in the same day as I got a RFE. My case was EB2 based
