Hey Bijon4u - It is a shame that people said such things. If it is any consolation most kids growing up in Nepal find themselves having to take racist crap from others no matter who they are. There are plenty of Chetri and Bahun kids who get picked on in school by others because of their physical features (e.g "I thought you were an Indian till you spoke Nepali"), or Newar kids who are made fun of because their accents , or SETAMAGURALI kids who get labelled, often dismissively, as Tibetans. I guess children can be mean creatures sometimes and the lesson we need to teach our kids is don't take such s.h.i.t from anyone - give it right back. A bloodied nose can sometimes be less harmful than a wounded mind. That said, it is moments like what we just experienced that make me feel proud to be a Nepali. Every time we are on the brink, we seem to have this incredible resilience within us to spring back. And if you go back and look at history it is really when we appeal to our better natures and bring out a spirit of tolerance, respect and inclusion that we seem to be at our best as a country.
