dyamm, if u see through my eyes, i see people being very tolerant in this ongoing issue. madhesi protesters have already killed pahadis and burnt many pahadi houses and properties, but still pleople in pahad are holding sadbhab rally, no pahadi has picked weapon yet against madhesis in the whole history of nepal so far. protesters killed one pahadi police brutally in retaliation to the killing of their cadre, but have padahes taken any retaliations ??? no and neither will. if the people can talk about the partition of the country, do you think you can expect patriotism from them (extremists). there r many examples too look at udit narayan jha, once he went to india, he feels humiliated to call himself nepali, had nepal given him not enough love? Here i am not generalizing all madhesi. since madhesh is in border to india, and the border in open many peoples' half of the relatives are in india due to marriage relations, so many people have equal affection to both countries. As for high ranks are considered, not only madhesis all the groups are deprived from those ranks. newars inspite of being one of the most literate tribes doesnot hold those positions as well. recently nepal army disclosed numbers of madhesis in service to be more than 7000, i believe that is reasonably big number considering the total number of military men. Descrimination was there, I won't deny but not of the size as projected. Inferiority complex is in madhesi peoples' mind too, you have to agree on this. If you carry the issue every deed will seem discriminating which otherwise would be taken as friendly gesture. if the love for country had been there, they would not have thought of deviding the country but have come up with solution on how to reduce the gap. if the devision of the country is their in their mind , they can come up with any reasons to make their objective look sane. there may be many errors, please correct urself
