Hi all, I have a question. Can an F1 student on OPT work as an independent consultant. Which means I'll have to take care of the federal and state taxes... I'm pretty confused?? Correct me if i'm worng.... form 1099 is meant for legal residents only,right? Any tax gurus (or wannabe gurus)...your thought/advice on this matter would be appreciated. Thx
