Sayami, I completly agree with you. I also call any newar " Jyapu'. Because many people don't know about difference. So, newar should come up with this agenda again if Madhises are making making such natural comment as a big issue. My family has all castes. We have newar bahun, chettri, bhote and madhise too. Jokingly I call my spouse jyapu and he calls me bhote. We have great family and social life. I came to know about madhise when I work with ministries in Nepal. They are so communal and corrupt. They can take anything for bribe. It's so pathetic and political. ONCE AGAIN I DON'T GENERALIZE THEM. Coz my brother in law is afantastic human. But all of sudden they come up with such an excuse of such a fuss. I can't even understand. They call pahade to others. Others call purbeli from people in west and paschimeli from west. Jhapali, palapali and sygajali. Do we need to fight and demand for all this petty reason. I don't understand at all. My inlaws are newar and I do agree that sometimes they have problem with nepali language too. Coz they rarely use nepali language and I don't mind whatever they say. Anyway, I like ur thread, thanks
