Nepali woman among Nithari victims? KATHMANDU: A Nepali woman who went missing from New Delhi is among the victims of a series of grisly killings near the Indian capital that stunned the subcontinent, a report said. Nanda Devi Shahi, a mother of six, disappeared in October, a Kathmandu daily reported on Friday. She had left Mahendranagar town in Nepal's remote far western region five years ago along with her family to go to neighbouring India in search of a better way of life. While Nanda worked as a domestic help in Nithari in India, her husband Dil Bahadur was employed as a watchman. "Mother went to work on Oct 31 and never made it back," her eldest son Rahul told the Post. "We looked for her everywhere but could not find her." However, this year, after Indian police discovered several human body parts in the drain adjacent to Noida house (crime spot) and began investigations, they found the sari Nanda was wearing when last seen alive. India's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) says she was among over 15 women killed in the infamous Noida House of Horrors. The Post said the Uttar Pradesh government has pledged NRS half a million and a plot of land to Nanda's family as compensation. An Indian businessman, Maninder Singh Pandher, and his servant Surinder Koli have been arrested over the disappearance of over 30 women and children from the Noida area. Police raids have uncovered skeletons, body parts and clothes of the victims at the Pandher residence.
