just a thought !!! NIGHTMARE of the darker side, D.A.R.E to read; I have been really torubled by the situation developing in Nepal. I bet, we all are. My worries are basically based on the results of the situation circumventing the world we live in today. How close are we from ethnic cleansing in Nepal ? After the fall of Suddam Hussein in Iraq, we have witnessed ,Shias and sunnis killing each other. So far, the kurds have managed to stay afloat, but it's just a matter of time before they are drawn into the conflict that has drawn the world's attention and involvement (driectly and indirectly), on the game of , "either you are with us or you are with the terrorists" ,began .since the invasion of Iraq by the U.S. led troops. The whole region is already engulfed in it. Since the deliverance of the "communisim" in Nepal by the maoists ( c'mon we all know who were burning tires and defying curfews) ; after the successful "jana andolan ll", I have witnessed the communal harmony in Nepal (thatwewere also proud of); not just crumbling down to pieces but turning into ashes and dust. If not anything ,it has sucessfully been able to spread "hate" in the country. The "khas" are already villianified. All other casts have started looking 'khases'( i don"t know if it's the right term) more or less as the sunnis are looked upon Iraq. The madhesis find all khases pahades regardless of their geographical backgrounds. All other "ingineous" casts people finds the khas people guilty of depriving them of their rights. They all blame it on the Bhramins but they treat chettris also with the same regards. Bascically the bhraminsand the chettris are the targets. Ofcourse the bull's eye is the king.. just like in Iraq; with Saddam being the ultimate prize. Didn't the sunnis want to be liberated from Saddam's totalitarian regime ?? yes, of course they did, a majority of them did. Were they spared??.. The answer; we usually watch on news everyday. The madhesis thinks the khas people as the villians as to the exytenc that when they say " the pahade" it's all and only the khas people..no; sherpas, tamags ,gurungs , magars and you name it allthe rest of the casts. Their movement is not against the government; their cry is always .boo!!! hoo!!!hhoo!! they call us "madisey or marsya" we should be called "DE madhesis"..you call the khas people pahadis" but for god sake we don'tgo to the extent of killing "DE madhesis". Dhotis" say something about us about nepal..we go out protesting on the streets and get shot by our own nepal prahari ( i don't know how many of you remember Hritik Roshan kaanda )..but we don'thave nothing against the madhesis. I don't understand why do these madhesis think when we say dhoti" it means madise..a lot of people here in the US thinks I'm hispanic..but I don't kill them."hello..wake up...ever,heard of the mistaken identity?? what about the sherpas, the limbus, the magars, the gurungs ,the newars..ya'll think the khas people are "naak chucheys" and they all have ;and: they have all deprived you of your fundamental rights..and they should be rooted out? these sentiments are basically derailing our emminent focuses and needs. Are the khas people in nepal, viewed as The east India Co. of the then British India ? Do all the other casts think of the khas people, as the sunnis of post saddam Iraq are thought of?? What is it about, against the monarchy ? if, that's the case, the king is already sidelined.. against the government??......can't be, we just placed them there.. about Nepal being a Hindu country...no...we already declared it a secular.. are we not inviting sectarian and ethnic violence, are has it already started but yet to gain momentum??
