hey grad, yes it is always a good idea to communicate with the professors for grad schooling. they are the ones responsible for bringing in grants and hence support your research/studies. go over their websites and try to learn what all research work they've been doing. try to see if there is any project that your proficiency and interest match with. most of the professors want you to apply to the grad school and get accepted before proceding on with the interaction, but there's no harm in contacting them in prior, ie. before you apply, as it will help you to know more about him and his interest. also, it will give you chance for a better visibility and if he happens to be in the admission committee, it's all good for you. send him a short email describing your interest, your past work (independent studies and other research work in the relevant field you did, if any, during your UG) and your resume. if possible, call them and talk over the phone, that's even better but send him an email before calling. Good luck! int main(void) { while(1) KeepWorking(); } LooTe
