Prejudice is a tricky business - victim hood seems to come so easy to some of us yet we find it hard to accept that we ourselves can be the perpetrators at some level. Anand Soondas makes a valid point about how those crying wolf on the Shilpa affair are blind to racism/prejudice in their own country. What might also be worth pondering, for Sundas and indeed everyone else, is that even in Darjeeling and the Northeast, there is a quite a bit of prejudice towards people who don't look or talk like the natives. Just a thought.
